Article: One set, five ways

One cotton co-ord set styled five different ways across a week, laid out side by side.

One set, five ways

A co-ord is sold as one thing and worn as two. That is most of its value, and it is the part a product page says least about. Here is a week with one set, in cotton, top and bottom, with nothing else bought.

Monday, as it comes. Both pieces, no third layer. This is the version we photograph and the one that asks least of you.

Tuesday, the top alone. Over denim, tucked at the front only. A shirt-cut top reads as a shirt the moment it leaves its trousers behind, and nobody can tell it arrived with a matching bottom.

Wednesday, the bottom alone. With a plain white tee and flat sandals. Wide, easy trousers do more work in a wardrobe than the top does, because they carry every simple thing you already own.

Thursday, layered. The set worn together under an open jacket or an overshirt. The matching fabric underneath stops the jacket looking like an afterthought.

Friday, split across two rooms. Top for the day, bottom for the evening, neither piece seen twice by the same people.

Five days, one purchase, and the set has done the work of a small wardrobe. That only holds if the two pieces fit independently, which is why we size the top and the bottom separately instead of shipping one size for both. Choose the top for your shoulders and the bottom for your hips. They arrive as one order, cut after you place it, in five to seven working days.
